Brittny Fisher

(she/her)
Licensed Professional Counselor

I believe therapy should feel collaborative, grounding, and genuinely human. My style is warm, curious, and trauma-informed, with space for both deeper exploration and practical tools. I work with clients to better understand their emotions, identities, and patterns, while supporting growth toward greater self-compassion, connection, and a more authentic sense of self.

I completed my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adler University. I earned my B.A. in Psychology from Northeastern Illinois University and bring experience from domestic and sexual violence advocacy, inpatient behavioral health, and outpatient counseling. Across these settings, I have learned how important it is for therapy to feel both emotionally safe and genuinely human.

My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, attachment-based, and rooted in curiosity rather than judgment. I believe people make sense in the context of their lived experiences, relationships, identities, cultures, nervous systems, and environments. Because of this, I work to understand not only what someone is struggling with, but also what they have had to adapt to, protect against, survive, or carry.

I enjoy supporting clients navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional overwhelm, self-worth, identity exploration, and life transitions. I am especially passionate about working with neurodivergent individuals, LGBTQ+ clients, adults, teens, and people who have spent much of their lives feeling misunderstood, overextended, or disconnected from themselves. I strive to offer a space where clients do not have to mask, minimize, or explain away who they are.

My style is warm, collaborative, relational, and practical. I value insight and emotional exploration, while also helping clients build tools for regulation, self-compassion, communication, and meaningful change. I believe therapy can be a space to feel seen, reconnect with your strengths, better understand your patterns, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and aligned.

Outside of therapy, you can usually find me working on a crochet project, spending time in nature, planning my next travel adventure, playing tabletop games or RPGs, or relaxing with my pets.
