Our Process
At Serenity Counseling and Wellness, we’ve designed a process that makes getting started simple and supportive. Whether you’re beginning therapy, medication management, or psychological testing, our intake team will walk you through each step to make sure you feel informed and cared for from the start.

Therapy
Complete your intake paperwork.
Once it’s submitted, our team verifies your insurance benefits.
You’ll then receive a Calendly link to schedule your intake appointment with our intake coordinator.
During your 45–60 minute intake, our intake coordinator will take time to learn about your background, current concerns, and goals. This helps ensure you’re matched with the therapist whose expertise and approach best fit your needs.
Once your match is confirmed, our intake coordinator will help schedule your first therapy session so you can begin your work together.
NOTE: If you prefer, you can absolutely skip the intake coordinator step and meet directly with your therapist. You’re also welcome to request a specific therapist at any time, and we’ll do our best to honor that request.
Medication Management
Start by completing your intake paperwork and prescreening forms.
Once we receive and review your documents, we’ll verify your insurance benefits if applicable.
We’ll schedule your first appointment with our medication provider.
During this appointment, you’ll discuss your medical and mental health history, symptoms, and goals.
Your provider will create a personalized treatment plan, guide you through the next steps, and schedule follow-ups for ongoing support and medication adjustments as needed.
Psychological Testing
Begin by completing your intake paperwork and submitting any relevant background information or previous evaluations.
Our team verifies your insurance benefits and reviews all required forms.
You’ll be scheduled for an intake appointment with our testing psychologist to discuss your history, goals, and specific concerns.
Once all documents are received, we’ll confirm your testing appointment. Testing slots fill quickly, so completing your paperwork early helps secure your spot.
After testing is complete, you’ll receive a detailed report and a feedback session to review results, discuss recommendations, and plan next steps for care or treatment.
