Licensed Professional Counselor

I believe that therapy is a collaborative process that honors the individual as a whole within a safe, nonjudgmental space. My approach is person-centered, focusing on each client’s unique experiences and empowering them to strive toward their goals. I integrate mindfulness, strength identification, and artmaking into my therapeutic practice to help clients navigate their journeys. Through artistic expression, I guide clients in finding their voice to convey these complex thoughts and feelings.
I earned my master’s degree in counseling and art therapy from Adler University. Art therapy seamlessly complements traditional talk therapy, offering a powerful means of expressing and processing emotions that can be challenging to articulate with words alone.
My experience includes working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are navigating anxiety, peer and relationship conflicts, stress, and life transitions. I also specialize in helping clients manage peer issues, stress, and anxiety, develop effective coping skills, and support individuals on the autism spectrum. I often incorporate mindfulness techniques and progressive muscle relaxation into sessions to help clients manage these challenges.
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time outside with my pets, family, and friends. I often create art for fun, such as crocheting, painting, drawing, or weaving. You might also find me trying to perfect my banana chocolate chip cookies.
