Suzanne Snyder (She/Her)
Clinical Psychologist
People seek therapy for many different reasons. Sometimes, people need a healthy outlet for pent-up emotions. Sometimes, people need help understanding their own psychological functioning or need help coping with intense emotions. I'm happy to help with everything in between. I believe that regardless of the reason for seeking therapy, there is always a place for it in my office. Therapy works best with people who are motivated to achieve a change, as do I.
All About Me
I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington, D.C. I then completed my doctoral internship at Connections Academy East, a therapeutic day school, and continued there for my Post-Doctoral Fellowship. I provide individual and group therapy for children and adolescents with emotional disorders, behavioral disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and trauma. I have also worked with individuals of all ages in a range of settings including a neurology clinic, schools, community mental health, and private practice.
My therapeutic approach incorporates techniques from multiple evidence-based orientations including client-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and acceptance & commitment therapy. I believe that everybody achieves therapeutic change differently, and I tailor my approach for each client. Reaching out for therapy can be hard, I know! I do my best to provide a comfortable, non-judgmental atmosphere where you can feel comfortable being yourself.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and our cats, getting together with friends, and playing video games.
